Ft. Worth Talk

For those interested in the address I gave at the July 2015 International Catholic Congress of Anglicans.

Prayer of Archbishop William Laud
O gracious Father,
we humbly beseech thee for thy holy Catholic Church;
that thou wouldest be pleased to fill it with all truth, in all peace.
Where it is corrupt, purify it;
where it is in error, direct it;
where in any thing it is amiss, reform it.
Where it is right, establish it;
where it is in want, provide for it;
where it is divided, reunite it;
for the sake of him who died and rose again,
and ever liveth to make intercession for us,
Jesus Christ, thy Son, our Lord.

Amen.

Thank you for your encouraging comments re: Anglicanism. I am wondering if you will at some point share your story of return to a Western expression of catholicism? You were previously somewhat doubtful of the ACNA and Western Rite Orthodoxy in a 2011 blog post. What brought about your change of heart?

thanks,
Lyn

There is no perfect church. There is only a perfect Savior by whom we are reconciled through faith and His blood to God the Father. For me that is the very heart of catholicism, East or West.

My perception is that the Holy Spirit is directing catholic Anglicans to embrace the Faith on a more profound level and to be leaven in the Anglican loaf.

Miss you Alice! Fantastic address...still find few resources as articulate as you for a clear understanding of gender roles within the faith community!

Lyn,

A year of prayerful discernment and a message that God wanted me where I could provide the greatest lift using the gifts the Lord has given to me.
